Many of the students who graduate from the University of London each year are searching for jobs in a global economy, using their language and academic skills to maximise opportunities across the world.
To assist students with these ambitions, The Careers Group at the University of London has just launched a unique new web site where students can access up to date careers advice and job information on a range of international destinations from Africa to the Artic.
International Futures is a student resource for international careers information where students become part of an on-line community sharing experiences, asking questions and receiving advice and information about potential careers located all over the world http://www.careers.lon.ac.uk/international/
Non-EU Students will discover up to date information about UK immigration, understanding the graduate recruitment process and marketing their applications. They will also be able to take part in live web-chats with employers from their home countries. Through the site they will also be able to access a wealth of resources in videos, podcasts and other online resources. International Futures also provides a comprehensive international careers calendar.
UK and EU Students will find information about developing careers or studying overseas – for example in the US and Australia .The Working Abroad section offers immigration information, international vacancies, and a range of useful web-sites listed about working, studying or living in a range of destinations.
The site is fully integrated with The Careers Group’s job search engines so students can see live vacancies both in the UK and internationally.
With regularly updated content and impressive blogging, the International Futures website is predicted to become THE resource for students exploring their overseas ambitions in the current uncertain global economy and job market.http://www.careers.lon.ac.uk/international/
